Pretty Garbage
Although the last year has been seemingly at a standstill, J. Wang has remained busy behind the scenes writing and recording Pretty Garbage, his debut solo LP under the name Come Closer.
Embodying the quintessential DIY spirit from years in bands such as Dan Padilla, Tiltwheel, Altaira, and more, Wang produced the record in the back room of his house with some help from an all-star cast: Davey Quinn (Tiltwheel, Dan Padilla) and Chris Prescott (Pinback, No Knife, Rocket From The Crypt) lent their musical and engineering talents to help bring this record to life.
We are all looking forward to getting to hear these songs live once that’s possible, but in the meantime, the strength of this record will surely help propel it onto many people’s end of the year lists!
